The Galleria is gearing up for their biggest event since opening earlier this year.
Think all-day entertainment for every age, outdoor family zones featuring playful activities including face-painting, arts & crafts plus clowns and jugglers, evening concerts for every taste from 12 noon until 12 midnight.
And the best bit? All the events are free and open to the public!
FUN FOR THE FAMILY
Two large outdoor Family Zones will be set up in Abu Dhabi Global Market Square (ADGM), perfect for the whole family no matter what age. There will be no shortage of fun things to see and do for kids with face-painters, arts & crafts, clowns, balloon benders, stilt walkers, jugglers and much more. Plus, with shaded areas, plenty of bean bags and a dedicated screen to watch the live concerts as the evening sets, the Family Zone is the ideal venue for families to experience the best of the Block Party.
LIVE ENTERTAINMENT
Al Falah Street, which will be pedestrian only, will be the pulse of the Block Party and also the prime location to view the A-List concerts live. At 1:15pm and 5:45pm, the Abu Dhabi Police Band will lead a parade through the street, playing the UAE National Anthem. A medley of songs will then follow, accompanied by a performance of traditional Ayala dancers.
A main stage located just in front of The Galleria’s expansion on Al Falah Street will feature a special line-up of entertainment starting from 1:45pm onwards, including a Dabekeh Dance Troop, Dubai Drummers, a Breakdancer & Stomp Show, and performances from the “Greatest Showman”.
A programme of roaming entertainment and street acts inside The Galleria, on Al Falah Street and at the Family Zones from 1:15pm, will also ensure that everyone experiences the Block Party fun. These include Bollywood & Bhangra Dance Troupes, LED Drummers, Balloon Stilt Walkers, Living Statues and Jugglers.
LIVE MUSIC AND CONCERTS
The evening entertainment will commence from 4:00pm until late, starting with a line-up of local DJs including DJ Bliss, who will warm up the crowds for the highly anticipated live concerts once the sun has set. There will be live performances by international superstars Abu, Nadine Lustre, Yo Yo Honey Singh and DJ Jazzy Jeff.
In a UAE-first, The Galleria is creating a truly immersive experience with some of these concerts taking place from the mall’s upper terraces, giving fans a truly memorable view of the action.
A note for drivers and those living in the area:
Al Falah Street will be closed from 11:59pm Thursday November 14th to make preparations for the Block Party, and will reopen by 8:00am on Saturday November 16th.
The Galleria’s car parks will be fully accessible for the event, however guests are encouraged to car pool, take public transport or take advantage of The Galleria’s exclusive Careem offer, where guests can get 50% of rides to the Block Party using the code: TGUAE50.
