Etihad Park is getting a new name, and there’s a lot to look forward to as it steps into its next chapter. The Yas Island venue will officially be known as Etihad Live.
For anyone who’s spent the last decade-plus heading there for Formula 1 after-race concerts, music festivals or massive arena-style shows under the open sky, the venue itself isn’t changing overnight. But the rebrand comes with bigger plans in the background, including a multi-million-dirham revamp lined up for 2027.
And honestly, the timing tracks. Abu Dhabi’s events calendar has grown fast over the past few years, with bigger productions, more touring artists and a clear push to compete on a global level when it comes to live entertainment.
If you’ve ever been there for a concert, festival or Grand Prix after-race show, you’ll know it has hosted everyone from Madonna and Rihanna to Coldplay, Eminem and Guns N’ Roses. It’s also been home to major festivals like Creamfields, Ultra and KCON, alongside the Yasalam after-race concerts during the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Last year alone, the Yasalam programme reportedly brought in 136,000 attendees, including what organisers called the biggest Thursday crowd in Abu Dhabi Grand Prix history during Benson Boone’s set.
You can expect elevated viewing areas, upgraded premium hospitality zones and improvements designed to support more ambitious international productions in the upcoming redevelopment.
If you’re flying in, Zayed International Airport is just minutes away, and if you’re coming from Dubai, the drive is short enough to make a big concert night feel surprisingly easy. And with artists like Imagine Dragons, Lewis Capaldi and Zara Larsson already lined up for this year’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend, Etihad Live is stepping into its next chapter at full volume.
