Clear your diaries, foodies - one of the capital’s most-loved festivals is back on Yas Island this November. From 14–16 November, Taste of Abu Dhabi will once again take over Gateway Park North with three days of eating, cooking, learning, and plenty of live entertainment in between.
Last year, more than 19,000 people showed up at Taste of Abu Dhabi to feast and this year promises even more flavour, more chefs, and a few surprises along the way.
They've got big personalities are flying in. including Italian TV chef Gino D’Acampo who will be bringing his quick wit and bold flavours, fan favourite Matt Preston of MasterChef Australia fame will be telling stories only he can, and baking star Shivesh Bhatia is ready to impress us with his sweet creations.
They’ll be joined by some of the city’s own favourites - from Faisal Naser to Omaka Marie - and together they’ll host cooking sessions that feel less like lessons and more like joining friends in the kitchen.
Over at the BLACK+DECKER Cook School, you’ll get the chance to roll up your sleeves and cook alongside the chefs, while the Taste Fire Pit and Chefs Hub add plenty of hands-on flavour.
London’s cult bakery Bread Ahead is making its Abu Dhabi debut. Yes, the crème brûlée doughnut that broke the internet is coming here, and founder Matthew Jones is running special masterclasses so you can try your hand at it yourself.
And in a Taste first, there’ll be a fully vegetarian restaurant on-site. Gala Gourmet will be serving up a plant-based menu designed to surprise even the meat-lovers in the crowd.
Of course, Taste regulars like Paradiso, Fouquet’s, Oak Room and Goldfish Sushi & Yakitori are back, with each pop-up serving a handful of their most-loved dishes. Think of it as one big grazing table for the whole city.
Standard entry is AED 80 (kids under 12 are free), and from there you can pick packages that bundle in food and drinks.
There’s a new group deal for four this year too - ideal if you’re rounding up your friends for a foodie day out.
VIPs can skip the queues, chill in the lounge and make the most of extra vouchers, while Friday daytime group deals give offices or big gangs of mates a chance to turn the start of the weekend into a proper feast.
