The spooky calendar event takes over the capital every year, and we've found some fun ways to celebrate October 31st!
Fun for the family
Halloween Festival at Al Maryah Island
Al Maryah Island is to host its second family Halloween festival along the waterfront promenade which like last year will be transformed into spooky village featuring some fun attractions.
From October 24th to October 25th kids of all ages are encouraged to express their creative side and come along to the festival in costumes of their favourite characters. They will be able to get involved with fun-fair games such as wicked witch toss, spin the wheel, zapping bats, as well as ghost ships racing, and take home keepsakes. In addition, throughout the weekend, children will have a chance to attend meet-and-greets with popular characters such as Maleficent, Dracula as well as members of The Addams Family.
At the promenade there will also a wide variety of activities and workshops such as mummy jar making, trick or treat bag making, Frankenstein treat-making, slime making and much more. A variety of competitions with prizes will keep the whole family entertained such as costume contest and guess what’s in the box raffle draw and more.
There's also live shows including zombie flash mob, scream Halloween, Halloween fiesta, once upon a midnight and the story-time witch, which will be open to the public.
Of course, it wouldn't be a festival without food, so families and visitors of all ages can chow down on charcoal ice cream, crepes, churros, burgers, pumpkin flavoured desserts, and seasonal drinks from food trucks.
Kids will also enjoy the candies across The Promenade and The Galleria where families can trick or treat across the mall at participating retailers, (They'll have a pumpkin outside their stores if they have sweets for you).
The Halloween Festival will run for two days, Thursday 24 th and Friday 25 th October 2019, from 4:00pm to 10:00pm.

Click, click! Get ready to snap your fingers this Halloween as The Addams Family movie opens in theatres on 31 October 2019.
The classic, creepy, mysterious and spooky, The Addams Family returns to the big screen in the first animated comedy about this kooky family.
Gomez, Morticia, Pugsley, Wednesday, Uncle Fester, and Grandma join a lively cast of characters to remind cinema-goers why they are the most eccentric family in the neighborhood, promising a funny and outlandish day out for the entire household.

Party Ghouls
For the ultimate grown ups party, head to Coya Abu Dhabi as it throws its highly anticipated Halloween partie on October 23rd. You can expect suitably theatrical celebrations with inspiration drawn from all things ‘spirited’, shamanic, and voodoo, not forgetting the spiritual journeys of Ayahuasca in keeping with COYA’s Latin American heritage.

If you are up for a slightly more relaxed but spooky Halloween, check out Blu Sky Lounge & Grill on Thursday 31st October, as they will be playing a special Halloween edition of their popular bingo night.
On Friday the 1st November there’ll be decorations, Halloween themed drinks and scary movies showing across 14 HD screens all night. There will also have happy hour promotions on offer.
