If you’ve already checked out Marsana East Beach on Hudayriyat Island (Abu Dhabi’s first-ever night swimming beach), you’ll be pleased to know it’s just got even bigger.
After a hugely popular first month, the beach has almost doubled in length, giving night swimmers and sunset loungers even more space to enjoy.
When it first opened in early July, the beach stretched around 140 metres. Now, an extra 120 metres has been added, bringing it to a total of 260 metres of floodlit shore.
The team has also upped lifeguard numbers, boosted security, and added more lighting to keep the evening vibe safe and relaxed.
The opening hours remain perfect for after-work dips or weekend hangouts, going until 10pm on weekdays and midnight on weekends. Saturday nights keep the energy high with a resident DJ, and from August, a fire show has been added for that extra bit of spectacle.
Sun, Sand… and Supper
It’s not just about the swimming. You can kick back on a plush lounger, grab a complimentary towel, and sip chilled water from your mini cooler while soaking up the atmosphere. And when hunger strikes? Just scan the QR code, choose from eight Marsana cafés and restaurants, and have your order brought right to the beach pick-up station.
If you’d rather sit down for a meal, there are another seven dine-in spots waiting nearby.
With extended evening hours, family-friendly activities, and themed dining offers, there's now even more beach to love, making it the perfect way to cool off on a hot Abu Dhabi night.
