Here’s our quick round-up of what’s happening across the capital right now. From new community runs and travel deals to cultural programmes, something for the kids, and a few everyday updates shaping how the city moves this week.
There’s a small community run happening in Abu Dhabi tomorrow as part of New Balance’s Grey Days.

If a morning run with the community is your thing, you just need to show up at the Zayed Sports City Running Track on Thursday 14 May and the New Balance Run Club will lead you on a community run, with a focus on moving together rather than how fast you can get round the track.
Afterwards there’s a post-run community gathering with breakfast bites, coffee, and giveaways.
It is part of Grey Days, New Balance’s annual month-long celebration that highlights the brand’s signature colour and what it represents, from community movement to everyday performance.

If you drive to Musaffah regularly, here’s a change to note

Abu Dhabi’s paid parking rollout in Musaffah is continuing with five more sectors set to go live.
Starting 18 May, paid parking is expanding across more parts of Musaffah. This is part of the third phase of the paid parking implementation. New sectors including M5, M6, M21, M22, and M23 will now come under the system.
The update adds 3,921 parking spaces, aimed at improving traffic flow, reducing random parking, and making it easier to get around if you’re working or running a business in Musaffah, one of the busiest industrial and commercial areas in the capital.
Dedicated parking spaces for People of Determination, and parking fees are AED 2 per hour which can be paid through Darb, TAMM, SMS, or on-site machines.
