Winter is coming to Yas Island in Abu Dhabi with a FREE six-day Carnival to celebrate the magic of the season at Gateway Park South from the 11th to 16th December 2019.
If you are ready to get into the festive spirit, Yas Winter Carnival, will have everything you love about this time of year with entertainment to enjoy from 2pm daily.
Held at Gateway Park South on Yas Island the magical Winter Carnival will host activities including a giant tree lighting ceremony, a snow play area, snow slides, a winter market, a funfair, magicians, gingerbread making, a kids’ zone, live music on the big stage, and a firework extravaganza every day.
Here’s your guide to everything you need to know to plan your visit with family and friends at the Yas Winter Carnival 2019:
GIANT TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY
Each day, at 7pm, gather with your friends and family to watch the official tree lighting ceremony. The Main Stage will host non-stop entertainment to get you in the festive mood with school choirs, live music and performances such as The Princess Show, The Nutcracker, and many more.
SNOW PLAY ZONE
Experience the magic of snowfall - on the hour every hour for five days. Kids can enjoy a friendly snowball fight, slide down the snow slide or even build a snowman.
WINTER MARKET
You can wander through the festive winter market and discover the perfect holiday gifts. There will be everything from fashion accessories, art prints, jewellery, home decor, toys, festive gifts and much more to pick up the perfect presents for your loved ones.
FESTIVE FIREWORKS
The Arabian night sky will be illuminated with a festive firework display above Gateway Park South every evening at 9pm.
GINGER BREAD MAKING & DECORATING
Take a break from all the action and have some creative family fun as you decorate your own personalized gingerbread houses. From frosted roofs to colorful candy accents, you’ll be provided with all the tools to personalize and take home your very own gingerbread creation.
CARNIVAL RIDES & FUNFAIR
Open to the whole family, the funfair will feature exciting rides guaranteed to bring a smile to everyone’s face. Young or old, there’s something for everyone to get your adrenaline racing.
KIDS’ ZONE
Keeping the little ones entertained at the Kids’ Zone which will include festive themed activities such as arts & crafts, inflatables and face painting.
MYSTICAL MAGICIANS
Keep an eye out throughout the Carnival for seasonal magic as roaming magicians will perform magic tricks right before your eyes. A host of talented magicians will combine spectacular illusions, sidesplitting comedy and dazzling costumes to create an immersive display of winter, wonder and magic.
ENTERTAINMENT STAGE
Festive music and live performances will fill you with excitement with family and friends. There will be non-stop entertainment from our incredible line up of music acts, performing arts, prize giveaways and games galore.
