Check Out A New Women’s Health Festival This March

A new health festival aimed at women makes its debut in Abu Dhabi this month - and its goal is to show athletes how they can be the very best version of themselves when it comes to sport.

The Top Of Her Game Women’s Health Festival takes place March 3rd and 4th at the Abu Dhabi Creative Club on the Capital’s Corniche, and looks at sport from a different perspective. Instead of just covering nutrition and exercise, this festival instead tackles topics that could stop an athlete from being at the top of her game, such as stress, depression, dementia and alzheimer’s. It also takes a closer look at hormonal and menstrual wellness challenges such as navigating puberty, adulthood, fertility, perimenopause and the menopause.

“We have made it our focus to overcome women’s performance challenges and educate them regarding their own health,” says Christina Ioannidis, the creator of the initiative and founder of Top of Her Game. “We are delighted to partner with the UAE Federal Youth Authority’s Creative Hub to make this Festival a reality.”

The event takes place from 4pm to 10pm on each day and will include speakers from some of the region’s leading voices on women’s health, including Shahad Al Shaboosi, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Abu Dhabi; Dr Sawsan Al Madhi, CEO Alignnefficient Consultancies and former Director General Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP), Dr Carolynn Clements, Family Medicine Consultant, NYU Abu Dhabi and finally Danah al Ali, Health Advocate and Adventurer, who aims to become the first mother-of-two from Abu Dhabi to conquer Mount Everest
