Diwali gifts for a personal and private celebration

The festival of lights is almost upon us and whilst gatherings are discouraged, you can still send gifts to family and friends across the UAE. We've found Diwali inspired presents that will add some indulgence to the celebration on 14th November.

Indian Sweets


Kibsons have ramped up their Diwali offering with items like rangoli powder and earthen lamps. They've also launched four varieties of Indian sweet boxes in partnership with Chhappan Bhog (the UAE's favourite street food and sweets restaurant).

The boxes range in size and quantity and are priced from AED 50 to AED 160.

 

Chocolate

TINAS has some mouth-watering chocolate boxes available to help sweeten the festive period. This Diwali gift box includes 36 pieces of chocolate, a Diwali lotus tea-light candle holder and Ganesha idol to bring good fortune and luck on the auspicious day. Priced at AED 355.

 

Dates


The Date Room has put together uniquely designed boxes with stunning Diwali designs which are filled with with chocolates, stuffed dates and dipped dates (they can also can be filled with dates only, if you need a vegan option). Three different variations are available and their prices start from AED 56.

 

Jewellery

Dori is authentic to its roots, with handiwork inspired from founder Bhavya Airan’s travels around India. The festive collection embodies the essence of the culture and is made with semi-precious stones, which fit perfectly with festive outfits.

The collection includes earrings, neckpieces and rings, that are handmade and hypoallergenic.

 

Unique foodie gifts

A picturesque Diwali dinner


Punjab Grill in Abu DhabI is celebrating Diwali with an extravagant menu specially created by Chef Sandeep Ail. The menu will be available exclusively for five days from 11th November until 15th November 2020. If you dine at Punjab Grill can choose to dine indoors or in the terrace overlooking the fabulous views of the canal.


The special Diwali menu includes authentic Indian dishes with a contemporary twist by including starters such as Kundapur Paneer Bites with Masala Uthappam, the Pulled Jackfruit Raj Kachori, slow cooked raw jackfruit flesh with special sweet savoury Masala and the Mumbai’s famous street foods Masala Maska Bun and Pav Bhaji butter.

Keto sweet treats

If you want to indulge in the festive season but are worried about the additional kilos, check out Dubai Keto Desserts who are behind a low carb Diwali menu. The special selection of the traditional Indian sweets are without excessive sugar, gluten free and less than 7gms carbs per serving.


 

Diwali dinner at home



Tiffin & More offer have put together a Diwali set menu available for Vegetarians and Non-Vegetarians starting at AED 50, which is perfect for a family of up to four.

Dishes include, Punjabi Samosa, Onion Bhujiya Pakoda, Malai Kofta, Aloo Curry, Coin Puries, Vermicelly Rice Pulao, plus some delicious desserts such as Shahi Tukda and Boondi Ladoo.

Tiffin & More’s Diwali combos are available from Wednesday 11th – Tuesday 17th of November and are priced at AED 50 for the Vegetarians Set Menu for & AED 60 for the Non-Vegetarian Diwali Set Menu.
