Rangoli brings an Indian summer to Abu Dhabi

As summer hits the capital, Rangoli, located at Yas Island Rotana at Yas Plaza Hotels has welcomed guest Michelin Star chef Jitin Joshi, who has cooked for several ‘A list’ celebrities like David Beckham, Ed Sheeran, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prince Charles. He'll be teaming up with Rangoli’s Chef De Cuisine Shadab Qureshi to reinvent the restaurant's menu, mastering North and South Indian cuisine with a surprising twist.

The kitchen promises to fire out freshly cooked dishes from the Tandoor and you can get your tastebuds around new signature dishes like Crab Shorba, Cooked with curry leaf, coconut milk, and seasoned with Indian spices; Machi Tawa Masala, sizzling whole sea bass coated with a spicy marinade yoghurt; house specialty Raan-E-Awadh, whole baby lamb leg, slow-roasted to perfection, sprinkled with lime juice and tossed in clarified butter; and Lobster Masala Fry, masala coated jumbo lobster seared on griddle, tossed with onion, ground spices and coriander.

Keep some room for dessert as they've got some fun options like Moong Dal Halwa, cooked in desi ghee and thin sugar syrup, saffron, green cardamom, dry nuts; and Gulab Jamun Kunafa, dumplings of reduced milk, infused with cardamom and served in kunafa nest. Finally, inventive cocktails such as KumKum, Half Moon, Tulsi, and Bho-Gol inspired by India’s rich culture, art, and colour await drink connoisseurs.

Rangoli is also revealing a new look, blending Indian tradition with contemporary design and embracing happiness, positivity, and liveliness. You'll be met with a giant urli with a floating flower and flow into a vibrant space with Indian pop-art on the walls and a swing.
