Mother of the Nation Festival is back for 2020!
***MOTHER OF THE NATION FESTIVAL IS POSTPONED UNTIL Q4 2020 DUE TO HEALTH CONCERNS IN THE CURRENT CLIMATE.***
Mother of the Nation festival is back for it's gift year and is set to celebrate the innovation, creativity, and traditions of the UAE in six zones from March 26 until April 4 on Abu Dhabi’s Corniche.
The festival, which celebrates the family unit and the contributions of women in the region, will mark the year 2020 by underscoring the legacy of HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union and President of the Supreme Council of Motherhood and Childhood.
This year, the Mother of the Nation festival will have six zones that celebrate family, youth and women under distinct themes:
Inspire: a heritage and environment area that pays tribute to traditional and modern culture in the UAE
Explore: an edutainment and adventure zone for stimulation and excitement
Nurture: a culinary area to indulge the palate through a diversity of flavours
Entertain: a live performance destination hosting homegrown and international talent
Indulge: a curated fashion and retail environment to celebrate design
Amuse: a family entertainment and crafts area for the younger guests
You'll also get to experience never-before-seen activations including a holographic circus as well as a celebration of Japanese pop culture through traditional entertainment along with dedicated spaces for Japanese art.
One of our favourite elements is the Emirati heritage village showcasing the UAE‘s culture and hospitality, alongside retail outlets and the creative works of rising Emirati artists.
You'll also be able to attend a range of keynote panels and discussions by eminent local and international women on the topics of fashion, culture, food and the environment.
The Mother of the Nation Festival 2020 is on for 10 days from 4pm to 12 midnight on weekdays and 2pm to 12 midnight on weekends on Abu Dhabi’s Corniche.
