Mother of the Nation returns to the capital

Put on your best pair of walking shoes and grab the jam-packed schedule for a full day of fun and excitement at this year’s MOTN Festival, running until 18 December at the Abu Dhabi Corniche.

Organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), the region’s ultimate annual entertainment has even more family entertainment, live performances, immersive art experiences, global cuisine, and retail pop-ups than ever before.

The festival opened with a bang as the Khaleeji music sensation from Kuwait, Miami Band, returned by popular demand this year for a sold-out performance on the MOTN Live Arena stage. The four-member group, which rose to fame in the 1990s with songs like “Juwaira” and “Ma’ak Radhi”, will take the stage again for the festival’s closing concert on 18 December.

What can you expect at MOTN?

Think awe-inspiring installations, endless immersive activities, pulsating live music and a variety of mouth-watering treats and F&B concepts spread across six distinct zones – Inspire Space, Thrill Zone, Amusement Park, Food Hub, Live Arena and Shopping District – designed to delight visitors of all ages.

There are numerous food stations to enjoy at the Food Hub, from Patty and Bun to vegan selections - you could quite literally go on a tasting journey of cuisines and street food from around the world all in one place.

The festival will have lots of activities for young children and teenagers, such as carnival rides, creative workshops, and interactive and collaborative physical and augmented reality games.

Music lovers! Book your spot for some of the biggest regional artists who will be taking the Live Arena stage during the festival including, Iraqi singer Aseel Hameem, Emirati singer Aryam and Moroccon singer Loubna. Egyptian artist Mohamed Hamaki will also bring his high energy to MOTN on 17 December.

If you want to catch all the FIFA World Cup 2022 football action then you can grab a comfortable seat for the screening of the games throughout the duration of the tournament.

Tickets are now on sale through MOTN’s official ticketing partner at www.ticketmaster.ae. General Admission tickets offer access to all free zones and attractions (AED 30 online and AED 35 at the door).

You can also opt for an add-on bundle that grants you full access to the festival with more than 26 additional rides and activities in the Amusement Park and Thrill Zone, including CoComelon (AED 140), except for MOTN Funhouse x ANIMA which can be purchased as a separate bundle (AED 85). Skill Games tickets can be purchased separately at the festival.

The event will be open from 4pm to midnight during weekdays and from 4pm to 2am on weekends.
