Riverdance returns to Abu Dhabi for special 30th anniversary shows at Etihad Arena

The world-famous Irish dance phenomenon Riverdance is heading back to the capital as part of its 30th Anniversary Tour, with two special performances at Etihad Arena on 31 October and 1 November 2026.

First bursting onto the global stage in 1994, Riverdance transformed traditional Irish step dancing into a full-scale theatrical spectacle, blending precise footwork with live music, soaring vocals and contemporary stagecraft. The anniversary production refreshes the original show with new choreography, costumes and cutting-edge lighting and visuals, while staying true to the rhythm and energy that made it a worldwide hit.

One of the most exciting updates for this tour is the introduction of “The New Generation” – a cast of exceptional young dancers bringing fresh energy to the production. It is a celebration of where Riverdance began, and where it is heading next, blending heritage with a bold, modern edge.
