MEFCC returns this September and One Piece star Mackenyu is coming to Abu Dhabi | Things to do in Abu Dhabi

Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) is returning to ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi from 11 to 13 September, bringing three days of celebrity guests, cosplay, gaming, anime, comics and more. 

The first celebrity guest has now been announced, with Mackenyu, who plays swordsman Roronoa Zoro in Netflix's live-action adaptation of One Piece, joining this year's line-up. If meeting the actor is on your wishlist, you'll have the chance to catch him at photo sessions, autograph signings and live appearances throughout the weekend. 

Comic book fans can also meet three artists joining this year's Comic Creators Club. Jim Cheung, Frederico Vicentini and Brett Beeding have worked on some of Marvel and DC's biggest titles, including The Avengers, Amazing Spider-Man, Wolverine and The Death of Superman. 

And that's just the start. You can watch the cosplay competition, browse Artist Alley, explore the Otaku District, join gaming and trading card tournaments, shop for collectibles and exclusive merchandise, and catch live panels and workshops throughout the weekend.
