Berklee Abu Dhabi’s Jazz Night 

The second edition of Berklee Abu Dhabi’s Jazz Night is back at the Cultural Foundation, headlining the Syrian singer-songwriter Faia Younan. You’ll catch an exclusive set of her music made just for this concert. A bunch of great local talent and Berklee alumni are joining her too, like Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree Ghaliaa, Emirati oud player Saif Al Ali, and singer-songwriter Nejma Alkoor. You’ll also hear Berklee faculty member Nikolai Mishchenko on stage, who hooks up traditional jazz roots with electronic elements alongside a full live ensemble.

Sheikh Zayed’s 'Treasured Sayings' Book Launch

To honour the legacy of our founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, a new book containing his personal poetry has been launched named, 'Treasured Sayings'.. Inside you’ll find 118 of his poems, including 75 translated into English for the first time, covering his thoughts on everything from unity to his love for the homeland. This special release also includes recorded audio poems and a built-in dictionary of traditional Emirati dialect vocabulary to keep his voice alive for generations to come.

London’s Berenjak opens its doors in Abu Dhabi

Berenjak, the London-born Persian spot is now open in the capital, inside a two-floor villa in Al Bateen. On the menu are traditional items such as Kashk-e Bademjoon (a charred aubergine dip with garlic and walnuts) served with fresh flatbreads, minced lamb Koobideh Kabab and the slow-cooked Ghormeh Sabzi herb stew. Make sure to save room for dessert, as they serve an exclusive Persian Tea flavoured soft serve ice cream that is available only in Abu Dhabi. And if it’s dinner and a show you’re after, you  can watch the chefs cook your meal over the traditional mangal grill in the open kitchen.
