The Upside Down is coming to Yas Island – and this time, you’re part of the story.

From 14 November, Stranger Things: The Experience lands in Abu Dhabi, turning Yas Island into Hawkins, Indiana circa 1986. Fans of the hit Netflix series will be thrown into the chaos of the town’s supernatural secrets, where they’ll need to tap into their powers and help Eleven save the day.

Created with the Duffer Brothers (the show’s creators), the experience mixes live actors, immersive sets, and cinematic effects that drop you right into Hawkins Lab and the eerie depths of the Upside Down. It’s a full-blown adventure rather than a walk-through - one minute you’re running from Vecna, the next you’re unlocking your own secret abilities.

Once you’ve made it out alive, the journey continues at Mix-Tape - an 80s-inspired space that’s pure nostalgia. You can grab a sundae at Scoops Ahoy, try to beat MADMAX’s high score at the Palace Arcade, browse exclusive merch, or even order a drink at the world’s first Stranger Things-themed bar.

The experience runs Thursday to Sunday with timed slots every 20 minutes, and each adventure lasts around an hour - plus as long as you like in Mix-Tape.

Tickets start at AED 75, with early access for wait-listed fans from 3 November and general sales from 4 November at strangerthings-experience.com/abu-dhabi.
