The celebrated Sudanese-American rapper is known for tackling the human condition and exploring inequalities while merging diverse elements into his hip hop. The exhibition showcases the research and experimentation of the 2024 MFA cohort who visualize questions and ideas in expansive ways that provide valuable insights into our contemporary global condition. On a Timeline features projects by Sara Alahbabi, Ciel Arbour-Boehme, Zara Mahmood, Fatima Al Romaithi, and Farah Soltani.

Ballet Hispánico at Cultural Foundation Abu Dhabi
Ballet Hispánico will make their Arab World Premiere on 31 May in partnership with the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi. The company will perform a mixed repertory including Club Havana by Pedro Ruiz, SombrerÃsimo by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and 18+1 by Gustavo RamÃrez Sansano.
In Club Havana, experience the rhythms of Cuba with conga, rumba, mambo and cha cha. SombrerÃsmo references the iconic sombreros and is inspired by the surrealist world of Belgian painter René Magritte. 18+1 is a vibrant celebration of vulnerability and joy with subtle humor and eclectic movements that intertwines with mambo music. Can’t make it on Friday? Don’t fret, the ballet also has a performance on Saturday, June 1.
