A nationwide call to share your family story is now open in the UAE

There’s a new initiative inviting families across the UAE to pause, reflect, and share the moments that matter most.

Under the national Year of Family theme, “Our Family Album” is a nationwide open call encouraging residents to submit real-life stories from everyday family life. From small rituals to big milestones, it’s all about capturing the moments that bring people closer together.

At its core, this is a storytelling platform designed to spotlight the role families play in shaping communities across the UAE. The initiative sits under the wider Year of Family programme, with a focus on connection, growth, and shared experiences.

Rather than polished or picture-perfect submissions, you and your family are encouraged to keep it real. Think honest, personal reflections that highlight what family life actually looks like day to day.

Some stories won’t just sit behind the scenes. They’ll become part of a curated nationwide storytelling journey, shared across official platforms to celebrate families from all walks of life in the UAE.

It’s a chance to have your voice heard, while contributing to a wider narrative around unity and community.

Submissions are open until 30 June 2026, and the process is straightforward. You can upload your family's stories through the official Year of Family website using a dedicated online form.
