Your kids can learn to be Junior Marine Biologists in Abu Dhabi

The National Aquarium, located in Al Qana, is to launch a ‘Junior Marine Biologist’ program, which has been specifically designed to cater to children aged 5-15.

Your animal lovers will get the chance to take part in a educational and career guidance program, that will allow them to step inside the shoes of a marine biologist and experience what it’s like to care for 300 different species and over 46,000 animals, inside the Middle East’s largest aquarium.

They'll also have the opportunity to gain behind-the-scenes access as The National Aquarium's dedicated staff guide them through an immersive experience including animal feeding, enrichment, cleaning, and daily checks as part of the National Aquarium's animal husbandry program. Learning is also paramount and they'll get to explore the science behind caring for various species.

Junior Marine Biologists will also assist in caring for rescued sea turtles from the Wildlife Rescue Program, as part of the National Aquarium's conservation education program.

The price is AED 350 per child and includes three-hours of behind-the-scenes access, as well as the aquarium journey.

It's available for bookings from Mondays to Thursdays, 4PM to 7PM and on Fridays from 2:30PM to 5:30PM. Junior Marine Biologists must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the activity and must be dressed in long pants and closed shoes, to ensure their safety.
