Commonly thought to be Mexican Independence Day, Cinco de Mayo actually takes place on 16 September. The May 5th commemorates the anniversary of Mexico’s victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. The day is actually more widely celebrated in America than in Mexico, as over the years it has turned into a celebration of Mexican-American culture, and grew into a global celebration after successful advertising campaigns by beverage companies.
La Carnita, Yas Bay Waterfront

Head out to sea to attend a Cinco de Mayo Pool Party at Al Maya Island. The day long party will feature music by Mistajay and Akmaral, Latin entertainment, a margarita and taco bar, plus a piñata game with prizes.
