Eight reasons to visit the 2023 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship



The 2023 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship returns to Yas Island next week with fans flocking to the Yas Links course to witness some of the world’s best golfers compete for the Falcon Trophy in the tournament, taking place 19-22 January.


Alongside the watching the golfing elite compete, there'll be lots of activities to enjoy each day of the tournament in the Championship Village.


The off-course fan experience will be bigger and better than ever with a variety of entertainment on offer, with themed days such as Ladies’ Day and Family Day.


Here are the top eight activities not to be missed:

1 - Don’t miss a beat with LIVE music acts everyday

Live music will return to the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship with multi-award-winning soul band Abri Music, Dubai-based R&B band The Tasty Biscuits and Lebanese vocalist Amanda Maalouf among the variety of stars set to headline the main stage in the Championship Village after the conclusion of play on each day.


2 - Activities and entertainment for kids of all ages

From magic tricks to bouncy castles, youngsters will have the chance to explore the Championship Village away from the course. Other activities on offer include drum workshops, the singing princess and a brilliant bubble show.


3 - Witness cool golf tricks with the Trick Shot Boys

Visitors can also head to the driving range for golf’s ultimate double act – The Trick Shot Boys. World Trick Shot Champion Geoff Swain and talented trick shot artist Kevin Carpenter have teamed up to create a unique experience in golfing entertainment set to capture the imagination of all in attendance.


4 - The Future Falcons programme

Future generations of golfing talent will have the chance to show off their skills with a series of challenges whilst learning the basic golfing fundamentals of swing, chip and putt. The Future Falcons programme developed by Abu Dhabi Sports Council and HSBC has seen 80,000 children introduced to golf and continues their commitment to inspiring the next generation of golfers.


5 - Dress to impress on Ladies Day

Saturday at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship is once again Ladies Day. A day to see and be seen, as all spectators are invited to glam up and show off with prizes on offer for the Best Dressed. You can glam up at the glitter station in the morning, and then make the most of the free ladies golf clinics throughout the day. All ladies will also receive two free drinks vouchers to be redeemed on site.


6 - Free ice cream for the whole family!

Sunday is Family Day. Treat the the whole clan to a day out at the golf and enjoy lots of activities and entertainment, including FREE ice cream. As the tournament comes to a conclusion on Sunday, there will be plenty of activities, food, drink, entertainment and live music to ensure an unforgettable experience for the whole family.


7 - Food & Drink Options

There'll be food trucks available on each day, plus providing a social area for you to enjoy great food and soak up the atmosphere. From Hot Dogs to Vegan Sushi, Gourmet Burgers to Waffle Sandwiches there is something for every appetite.


8 - World’s best golfers teeing it up on Yas Links

And of course, you'll get to witness all the drama and excitement unfold on the course in the quest for the Falcon Trophy. Spectators will have the opportunity to watch some of the world’s best golfers in action including defending champion Thomas Pieters, 2023 European Ryder Cup Captain Luke Donald and former The Open winner Shane Lowry.
