SailGP is heading back to Abu Dhabi this November for the Grand Final

Abu Dhabi is getting another big weekend of sailing this November, with SailGP returning to the capital for its 2026 Grand Final.
The Rolex SailGP Championship will return to the UAE for its final two races of the 2026 season, with the penultimate race taking place in Dubai on November 21 and 22 before the action moves to Emirates Palace for the Grand Final on November 28 and 29.
It will be the first time the SailGP Grand Final has been held at Emirates Palace, with the season coming down to a winner-takes-all showdown and USD $2 million up for grabs.
If you want to watch the F50 catamarans flying across the water, tickets are already on sale. You can choose from the VELA Beach Club, which comes with live music, DJ sets, plus food and drinks, the Premium Waterfront Grandstand for prime views of the racecourse, or the Waterfront Grandstand, which is suitable for all ages.
The competition is already getting close. Australia’s Bonds Flying Roos currently sit at the top of the standings, 17 points ahead of Spain’s Los Gallos, while just five points separate the U.S. SailGP Team, Artemis, and Emirates GBR in the race for the third and final spot in Abu Dhabi.
The 13 competing teams will race identical F50 catamarans, reaching speeds of more than 100km/h as they battle it out across the season.
